Guwahati
Assam · Start and end of every trip · 55 m
Assam’s largest city, on the banks of the Brahmaputra. Your driver meets you at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, the railway station or your hotel. With time to spare, visit the Kamakhya Temple on Nilachal Hill or take a boat to Umananda, a temple on an island in the river.
Shillong
Meghalaya · 1,525 m · 100–120 km from Guwahati, 3–4 hours
The hill capital of Meghalaya, cool all year. The road up stops at Umiam Lake; in town are Ward’s Lake, the Don Bosco Museum, Elephant Falls, Shillong Peak and the shops of Police Bazar. Most Meghalaya trips stay here and go out on day trips.
Cherrapunjee (Sohra)
Meghalaya · 1,484 m · 53–60 km from Shillong, 1.5–2.5 hours
One of the wettest places on earth, on the edge of a plateau above the plains of Bangladesh. See Nohkalikai Falls, the Seven Sisters Falls and the Mawsmai limestone cave. The double-decker living root bridge at Nongriat is a steep walk of a few thousand steps each way — keep a full day for it.
Kaziranga National Park
Assam · 210–220 km from Guwahati, 4.5–5.5 hours
A UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to about two-thirds of the world’s one-horned rhinoceroses, with wild elephants, water buffalo, swamp deer and tigers. Jeep and elephant safaris run in the season, usually November to April; the park closes in the monsoon. Safari tickets are booked separately from the cab.
Dirang & Bomdila
Arunachal Pradesh · 1,600 m and 2,500 m · 310–350 km from Guwahati, 8–10 hours
The road to Tawang is too long for one day, so trips break here. Dirang is a river valley of orchards, hot springs and the old Dirang Dzong; Bomdila, 40–45 km away, is a hill town with a large monastery and wide views of the Himalaya.
Tawang
Arunachal Pradesh · 3,050 m · 130–140 km from Dirang, 5–7 hours over Sela Pass
Tawang Monastery, the largest in India, looks over the valley from a ridge. The drive in crosses Sela Pass at about 13,700 ft, with the Jaswant Garh memorial and Nuranang Falls on the way. Bum La on the India–China border takes a separate permit and a full day. Indian visitors need an Inner Line Permit and foreign nationals a Protected Area Permit — we help with both. In winter, when Sela has snow, we send an SUV or bigger.
When to go. October to April is the dry season and the best time for Kaziranga and Tawang. Meghalaya is at its greenest — and wettest — from June to September.

Can I book only a cab for Meghalaya or Arunachal Pradesh?
Yes. Book the cab and driver for your trip from Guwahati without a hotel package. Choose a Shillong–Cherrapunjee, Kaziranga, Assam–Meghalaya or Tawang route, or choose Custom and tell us your days.
Is this a shared taxi or a private trip cab?
This is a private cab for your group, with the same car and driver for the days and route in your quotation. The page is for multi-day trips from Guwahati.
How much does the cab cost?
It depends on the car, the route and the number of days. Fill in the form and we send the full fare for your trip on WhatsApp — toll, driver allowance and GST included.
What is included in the fare?
The AC car and driver for the days and route in your quotation, toll taxes, the driver allowance and GST. Parking and any vehicle permits are paid on the way and are not in the fare.
Which car should we take?
Sedan for up to 3 people, Ertiga for 4, Innova Crysta for 5–6 and Tempo Traveller for 7–12. Children count as travellers; confirm baggage space when filling all six Crysta seats. For larger groups, choose your preferred model and we quote multiple vehicles—for example, two Crystas for 12 travellers. If you choose “Best for us”, we pick the car for your group and route. On the Tawang road in winter we only send an SUV or bigger. Select the model you prefer in the form.
Will the same car and driver stay with us?
Yes. One car and one driver for all the days you book, on the route in your quotation. You do not change taxis every day.
Where do you pick us up?
Guwahati Airport, Guwahati Railway Station, your hotel in Guwahati, or Shillong. For any other place, write it in the note.
Can we change the route or days later?
Yes. Message us on the same WhatsApp chat and we send a new fare.
How do we confirm the cab?
Reply on WhatsApp once you are happy with the fare. The cab is confirmed when we receive your advance. Until then it depends on availability.
Do we need a permit for Tawang?
Yes. Indian travellers need an Inner Line Permit (ILP) for Arunachal Pradesh. Tell us when you book and our team will help you with it.
